Join Us as a Volunteer for the Annual Special Olympics Colorado State Summer Classic!
Tee off with purpose at the State Summer Classic – Golf as athletes from across Colorado come together for a day of skill, sportsmanship, and celebration. Whether you're walking the course as a scorekeeper, assisting with athlete staging, or helping with awards, your support ensures an unforgettable and inclusive competition experience.
VOLUNTEER ROLES INCLUDE:
Assisting with course setup and equipment preparation
Serving as a Scoring Assistant or Group Escort to walk alongside athletes and record scores (training provided—no golf experience needed!)
Supporting pace of play, athlete flow, and on-course safety
Helping with athlete staging, check-in, hydration stations, and awards
Assisting with event tear-down and clean-up after the tournament

📍 Location: Plum Creek Golf Club – 331 Players Club Dr, Castle Rock, CO 80104
🚗 Parking: Free general parking available on-site
WHAT TO WEAR/BRING:
Comfortable clothes (volunteer t-shirt provided)
Closed-toe shoes (required – golf shoes or athletic shoes preferred)
Water bottle to stay hydrated
Sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses for sun protection
VOLUNTEER SERVICE HOURS:

VOLUNTEER AGE GUIDELINES:
Ages 16+ may volunteer independently
Ages 8–15 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone
Ages 7 and under may attend as cheerleaders with adult supervision (no volunteer duties assigned; no ticket required)
Group Supervision: A 3:1 child-to-adult ratio is required for youth groups (e.g., schools, scouts)
