General Conference Information

1. What is the Special Olympics Colorado State Conference?
The Special Olympics Colorado Statewide Conference is a combined event that merges the Coaches Summit and the Unified Champion Schools (UCS) Conference. It provides training, resources, and networking opportunities for coaches, educators, athletic directors, paraprofessionals, and school administrators.

2. Who should attend this conference?
This event is open to:

  • Special Olympics Colorado coaches
  • Educators and paraprofessionals
  • Athletic directors and school/district administrators
  • Anyone interested in promoting inclusive sports and education programs

3. Where and when is the conference taking place?
📅 Dates: Thursday, September 24th - Saturday, September 26th
📍 Location: Arapahoe Community College

4. What is the cost to attend?

  • Attendee Registration: $50.00

5. What is included in my registration fee?
Registration includes access to all conference sessions, sports-specific training, networking opportunities, and the Coach Appreciation Night for coaches.

6. What topics will be covered during the conference?
The conference will feature:

  • Unified Champion Schools (UCS) sessions to support and expand inclusive school programming
  • Sports-specific training for Special Olympics Colorado coaches
  • General sessions for all attendees focusing on leadership, inclusion, and program development

7. What is the schedule for the conference?
📅 Thursday, September 24th - Late Afternoon

  • 4:00 PM –Conference Kickoff - Opening Ceremonies
  • 6:00 PM – Coach Educator Appreciation Night (Open to all Coaches)

📅 Friday, September 25th

  • 9:00 AM – Conference sessions begin
  • 4:00 PM – Day Concludes

📅 Saturday, September 26th

  • 9:00 AM – Conference sessions begin
  • 4:00 PM – Conference Concludes


8. Will there be opportunities for networking?
Yes! Attendees will have opportunities to connect with fellow coaches, educators, and administrators throughout the conference. The Coach Appreciation Night on September 24th is specifically designed to celebrate and bring together coaches.

9. How do I register for the conference?
You can secure your spot by clicking the REGISTER button on the main page

10. Is there a deadline to register?
Must Register by Sunday, September 20, 2026

11. Will meals be provided?
Lunch will be provided to all conference attendees

12. What should I bring to the conference?
Attendees should bring:

  • A notebook or electronic device for taking notes
  • Comfortable clothing suitable for interactive sessions or sports training
  • Any necessary materials specific to their coaching or school programs

13. What if I can only attend one day of the conference?
While we encourage full participation, attendees can choose to attend select sessions. However, registration fees remain the same.

14. Will there be virtual options for those who cannot attend in person?
Virtual options will not be available - but session material will be shared with attendees at the conferences conclusion.
