2026 Tribute at the Capitol Volunteer Registration supporting Special Olympics Colorado



WHEN: Wednesday, May 27th, 2026
LOCATION: Ball Arena | 1000 Chopper Circle, Denver, CO 80204
EVENT DETAILS: Tribute at the Capitol is a signature Special Olympics Colorado Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) event that brings together law enforcement, athletes, and community members from around Colorado to carry the “Flame of Hope.” This event begins with a torch lighting ceremony at the Colorado State Capitol, followed by a 2.5-mile run/walk through downtown Denver, ending with a BBQ and celebration at Ball Arena. Together, participants raise critical funds and awareness to support more than 30,000 Special Olympics Colorado athletes.
CHECK-IN: Please arrive 10 minutes before your shift to allow time for parking and check-in.
Upon arrival, proceed to the event registration area and check in with Special Olympics Colorado staff.
WHAT TO WEAR: Each volunteer will receive a T-shirt to wear during the event so you can be easily identified. Please dress in comfortable clothing and shoes.
PARKING: Free parking is available in the 4Runner South Lot at Ball Arena.
