We realize that the COVID-19 pandemic is a dynamic situation, and we will continue to monitor all updates from the Florida Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). If the status of the event changes, we will notify participants via email as soon as possible.
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the U.S., claiming 130,000 American lives each year - that's close to 400 people each day. It's by far the leading cause of cancer death among both men and women, making up almost 25% of all cancer deaths. Each year, more people die of lung cancer than of colon, breast, and prostate cancers combined! Currently, only 23% of those diagnosed will live five years past their diagnosis.
A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation works to end lung cancer by funding innovative U.S. research, educating the public for earlier detection, and supporting patients and families living with lung cancer. We have grown steadily since the first run/walk in 2007 and have invested more than $2 Million in lung cancer research.
We are 100% philanthropy supported.
