Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes! Aunt Rita’s Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim your donation as a deduction, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. We’ll send it to you once your donation is successfully processed.
Can I help raise additional funds?
Absolutely! We encourage participants to fundraise beyond the registration fee. All additional funds support our Partner Agency Grant, benefiting agencies working tirelessly to end the HIV epidemic.
What is peer-to-peer fundraising?
Peer-to-peer fundraising allows participants to raise funds by reaching out to friends, family, and their networks. By sharing your story and why this cause matters to you, you can inspire others to donate.
Why should I fundraise in addition to registering?
Your registration fee helps cover event costs. Fundraising goes further by directly supporting Aunt Rita’s Partner Agency Grant Program, which funds HIV prevention, testing, and care programs across Arizona.
Do you have any fundraising ideas?
Yes! Here are a few fun ways to get started:
Social Media Challenge: Ask friends to donate $10 and tag three more to do the same.
Host a Virtual Event: Trivia night, yoga class, or cooking demo with donations as entry.
Birthday Fundraiser: Ask for donations instead of gifts.
Matching Donations: Partner with a local business or employer to match contributions.
How do I share my fundraising progress?
Keep supporters engaged by sharing updates! Post on social media, send emails, or make short thank-you videos. Regular updates motivate others to give or share your page.
How much should I aim to raise?
We’re encouraging each participant to raise $500 to help move our mission forward. Every dollar counts, so set a goal that feels realistic and inspiring for you—whether that’s $100, $500, or $1,000.
When and where can I pick up my incentive swag?
Early pickup: at the Aunt Rita’s Foundation Office on March 18 and 19, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
On the day of the event: at the registration tent.
I registered but forgot to sign up for a team. What should I do?
No problem! Just send an email to jon@auntritas.org, and we’ll get you added to the correct team.
What is early bird pricing?
Early bird pricing offers a discounted registration rate for those who sign up early. It’s a great way to save while supporting Aunt Rita’s mission!
When will I receive information about parking and vendors?
Parking details, vendor information, and other event logistics will be emailed to you in the weeks before the event. Check your inbox (and spam folder) for updates! This information will also be posted on our event webpage.
What is the Vendor Village?
The Vendor Village is a special area at the event where nonprofits and businesses can set up booths to showcase their work, share resources, or sell products. It’s a great way to connect with the community.
How can my organization be part of the Vendor Village?
If your organization would like to participate, please email jon@auntritas.org for pricing details and an application. Both nonprofit and for-profit organizations are welcome.
