About Alamance Regional's 25th Anniversary Campaign

This year is Alamance Regional Medical Center’s 25th Anniversary!

You are personally invited to help us celebrate by supporting the hospital’s values of caring for our patients, each other, and the community!

In this unprecedented time, our staff is continuing to work on the front lines to respond to the COVID-19 emergency as we maintain our core programming in support of our patients, staff, and community. Among the uncertainty, one thing is undeniable- because you choose to give, your love and generosity will now live in so many moments of grace and mercy.

For so many, now more than ever, they need your gift of hope. You can make a difference where it counts: right here in your community.

Picture that moment, that instant when lines of weariness and worry turn into smiles of relief!  You can make this happen by supporting one or more of the funds below.

Taking care of patients through the Patricia G. Bynum Fund: Kathrine was in remission from breast cancer but then she found a nodule in her lung. Unable to work during cancer treatments, her utilities and rent are being paid.

Taking care of each other through the Ralph M. Holt Employee Assistance Fund: An employee at
Alamance Regional and her family were in a serious car accident and their medical bills piled up quickly. The fund was able to help with their car payment and mortgage.

Taking care of each other through the Community Fund: This a new fund that is driven around connecting the at-risk community to access to healthcare. Help provide healthcare kiosks for telehealth appointments.

“My gift, when it was added to the gifts of others, made a difference. It was drops in a bucket, and when all the drops come together, the bucket is filled.” – Sandy Faucette, Pharmaceutical Employee, Alamance Regional.

If you are in a position to support the hospital’s values and our patients in need, we would be forever grateful!

The future is in your hands! Here’s to another 25 years!

25 Years of Caring

Alamance Regional has cared for this community for the past 25 years.  Help us celebrate by supporting the hospital's values of caring for our patients, caring for each other and caring for the community.  During this campaign we plan to share 25 days of accolades and testimonials beginning August 31st.  On September 24th we will wrap up with a Virtual Event to celebrate.  You won't want to miss the celebration where we will feature a panel presentation with past and current hospital presidents and special surprise entertainment.  Stay tuned for more information!

Caring for our Patients

Our patients have benefited from generous individual gifts and from funds raised at our signature events.  Due to our COVID restrictions we are not able to hold events at this time. The result has meant 50% less raised to assist our cancer patients in need.  Right now the needs of our patients are still there, possibly greater than before.  Gifts to this campaign will benefit cancer patients with the basic needs of life while they are undergoing treatment at Alamance Regional.  Patricia G. Bynum started this fund when she was going through treatment and noticed some people were struggling financially.  She began fundraising to help others in need.  We traditionally have many fundraisers throughout the year, continuing in Bynum's tradition, but this year we have not been able to host these events.  We are hoping you will choose to support our cancer patients by donating to the Patricia G. Bynum Fund.

Caring for Each Other

The employees of Alamance Regional sometimes need financial assistance when they face unforeseen circumstances.  Two funds are available to assist employees in need.  The Ralph Holt, former Hospital Board Chair of 50 years, was established in honor of Holt and the Peggy H. Smith Fund in memory of Smith.  Most recenly, because of COVID, some employees had their hours reduced, and others had to go on furlough.  This caused us to utilize the fund a great deal over the last few months.  You can help our healthcare heros by making a donation to the Ralph Holt and Peggy Smith Employee Assistance fund.

Caring for the Community

Here in Alamance County we have a huge gap in caring for individuals from areas of the community that are less fortunate.  Access to healthcare is not always easy due to financial restraints, transportation and education.  We plan to support a pilot project that will provide healthcare kiosks where individuals can get a virtual visit with a healthcare provider free of charge.  The first of these pods will be located in East Burlington's Open Door Clinic.
