About IIVA Battle of the Fans

Battle of the Fans is a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign that empowers live music fans, celebrities and business leaders to help raise money for the Indiana Independent Venue Alliance. Funds raised through the Battle of the Fans will be available to members through IIVA’s ongoing Grant Programs dedicated to providing financial relief from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The live music industry has been forever changed. With your help, we’ll ensure our treasured local venues are still here to provide entertainment once this crisis has passed.

Indiana’s live music venues are among the most highly impacted small businesses as a result of mandated closures, cancelled events and customer safety. The struggle has been real, and devastating. Indiana’s independent venues are owned and operated by local entrepreneurs. Like you, they are live music fans and important contributors to our cultural economy. These small business owners have taken out loans, fought everchanging local restrictions, mortgaged their lives, pivoted to outdoor spaces, risked their families and livelihoods while enduring a mountain of mental strain.

Thank you for supporting this cause, showing your appreciation for our venues and doing your part to help Keep Indy Live.

About the Indiana Independent Venue Alliance

The Indiana Independent Venue Alliance (IIVA) is a not-for-profit organization that empowers and preserves Indiana’s live music community through supporting grassroots concert venues, music festivals and live music promoters.

As small business owners, the IIVA community plays a critical role in our state’s music and culture economy. These cultural hubs are centerpieces of our neighborhoods. As businesses they provide highly skilled jobs, contribute to the tax base and drive tourism dollars. Learn more about our mission and what we are doing to help independent venues weather the economic hardships of the Covid-19 pandemic.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

IIVA has created two grant programs to help support Indiana's independent live music venues, promoters and festivals.  With minimal financial support, our only way to fund these programs is through our own fundraising efforts.  Money raised through Battle of the Fans will be allocated to the IIVA's grant programs, which are open to IIVA members who meet the criteria of each grant opportunity.  Grant opportunities are made available as the programs are funded.
