WHY BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS?

Potential lives within every child, and every child deserves a chance to see their potential realized. For over 60 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Great Lakes Bay Region has been here for kids in the Great Lakes Bay Region. By matching adult mentors, one-to-one, with children in our communities, Big Brothers Big Sisters defends that potential and helps change lives and futures today and forever.

Our commitment to child safety means that every prospective Big goes through a thorough background check and reference screening to protect all of the kids we serve.

Our commitment to excellence means that we don't just make matches, but we make the right matches. Match coordinators conduct interviews and interest assessments with both Bigs and Littles to make sure we're building strong mentoring relationships.

Our commitment to lifelong learning and growth means that match coordinators regularly communicate with Bigs and Littles throughout their match. This ensures that matches stay on the right track, any issues or concerns are addressed in a timely fashion, and that everyone involved has access to support when they need it. Our match coordinators also work with Bigs and the parents of our Littles to provide innovative training to navigate difficult circumstances.

Your commitment to Big Brothers Big Sisters means we can continue to provide these resources to our matches, and to develop new resources to serve even more kids in the future.
