My sister fought breast cancer for twenty years before her death in 2005. She was fifty-six. Consequently, I have been diligent with self-examinations and mammograms for almost forty years.

In May of 2023, I was diagnosed with axillary node metastases with occult primary breast cancer (triple negative). While trying to find the primary tumor, a brain aneurysm was detected. Emergency brain surgery was performed because of the advanced size of the aneurysm. Two coils and a severer were placed behind my right eye.
