Believe…

in healing my body and soul!

Robert Grande

In September of 2023, I went in for a checkup, and by July, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. In August 2023, I had surgery and spent five days in the hospital. I started chemotherapy shortly after. This experience can numb and scar you, but I had to figure out how to not only live but to be alive.

My doctors and nurses were wonderful, and my family was my rock. As a teacher and a baseball and mock trial coach, school activities helped me laugh, and Jesus Christ revitalized my soul.

In October 2023, I registered for the Believe Walk. To my surprise and heartfelt appreciation, my Baseball team came to the Believe Walk and met me close to the finish line to support me. I was surprised and emotionally overwhelmed. My family and friends walked with me, and I felt so loved. Recently, I hiked Half Dome in Yosemite (22 miles)!

My inspiration continues to come from those afflicted with cancer. I am inspired by the courage and strength of those fighting for a chance to see tomorrow.

I love my family and friends more than can be imagined, and I thank God for all of them.
