Believe…

in the power within!

In July 2015, I was diagnosed with stage 1A invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer. The most encouraging words came immediately from my oncologist, Dr. Daniel Ludie, who said, “You are not going to die from this because we are going to fight it together.” From that moment on, I trusted the process and embraced positivity, opening my heart to God, who transformed everything.

On October 9, 2015, I underwent a bilateral mastectomy, removing both breasts, even though the cancer was only in my left. The day before surgery, I asked friends and family on social media to pray for me and share how big God is instead of feeling sorry for me. The surgery was successful, with no trace of cancer in my lymph nodes.

Despite hoping chemo wouldn’t be necessary, my small tumor had HER2+ and PR, so I started treatment in January 2016 and finished on February 14, 2017. With my family’s support, I underwent a transformation in body, mind, and spirit. After my last chemo, I began volunteering at the infusion clinic, sharing hope and my story with other cancer patients.

Today, seven years later, I am cancer-free!
