Believe…

in Being Brave!

Belinda Perez

My diagnosis was the toughest moment of my life. The news terrified me and turned my world upside down, but I knew I had to face it directly. My daughter Mary Megan’s support kept me hopeful and focused.

Treatment was tough, full of ups and downs. Some days I felt strong, other days devastated. But I held onto the small victories and leaned on my family and friends. Their love and encouragement meant everything.

I learned the power of a positive mindset. I focused on the good and celebrated every milestone. That mindset gave me strength.

Connecting with others with similar experiences made a huge difference. The Pink Ribbon Place provided me with a supportive community of incredible women. They’ve cared for every need, from radical remission workshops, yoga, aqua motion, wigs, swimsuits, bras, to gift cards.

I’m proud to say I’m in remission. This journey has made me stronger, more grateful, and more aware of life’s precious moments.

My mantra since losing my mom at 28 guides me: I am brave. Now, I am braver than ever. “You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think, and twice as beautiful as you’d imagine!”
