Kickoff your Independence Day weekend with the Freedom 5K! This family friendly patriotic-themed race through Fort Ben is the perfect finale to Lawrence 4th Fest. Participants will get shirts and finishers medals.

Why Participate?
All proceeds from this event benefit Veterans and Active Duty Military members through free programming such as iRest Meditation for Veterans, Swim Lessons for Veterans, and free admission to family events throughout the year.
How Your Support Makes a Difference
Your support of the Freedom 5K allows our YMCA to open its doors to homeless veterans allowing them to work out for free to gain self-confidence and promote healthy living. We are also able to provide subsidies for memberships or programming such as swim lessons, sports leagues, Active Older Adult programming, Summer Camp, and so much more!
Without your donation to our Annual Campaign we would struggle to reach our goal, preventing us from reaching out to our neighbors in our Lawrence-area community.
