Keep Our Girls Connected Campaign supporting Big Sister Association of Greater Boston, Inc.

I support Big Sister Boston because I have experienced the impact a positive role model can have on a girl's self-confidence and trust!
Between the ages of 8 and 14, girls’ confidence levels fall by 30%. THIRTY PERCENT. As a woman who has struggled with self-confidence issues my entire life, this statistic really hit home and is, ultimately, why I decided to become a Big Sister. During my match, I have been able to see how much Angie, my Little, has grown in terms of confidence, both socially and academically. I have also observed how much trust she has placed in me as she shares some of her struggles both in school and at home. Since I saw Big Sister's mission to ignite girls' passion and power to succeed through positive mentoring relationships play out first hand, I decided that I wanted to support the organization even more as a member of the Young Professional Board. From this position, I am able to share my experience with the organization and all that they do to support Boston's young girls.
Through matching young girls in mentoring relationships with adult women, Big Sister Boston is focused on building big futures. Not only have these mentoring relationships been shown to broaden young girls' educational and career aspirations, but they also provide a trustworthy adult role model and build girls' confidence. During this time of social isolation, the Little Sisters need us more than ever. By making a gift you are directly supporting the emotional well-being of the Little Sisters Big Sister serves.
Please join me and support Big Sister's important mission, ensuring that girls come out of this pandemic feeling safe, valued, and more resilient than before!
