Your participation as an individual fundraiser or as part of team makes it possible for us to continue advocating for smart, sustainable growth in Charlotte. We simply could not serve our community without the help of donors like you.
To get started, each participant needs to create a fundraising page where supporters can either donate to your fundraiser or join your team fundraiser. Everyone is able to fund raise even if they cannot participate in the event. For example, even if you don't purchase an event ticket, you can still raise money for the event, and even form an entire team of non-participating fundraisers!
To do this, you will need to go back to our home page and register for an account. Once you have created an account it will ask you if you want to purchase a General Admission ticket to participate in the Biketoberfest event, or if you just want to create a fundraising page.
If you choose to only fundraise, it will take you straight to setting up your fundraising page. There is a tutorial built in to walk you through this. From here you can create a fundraising goal and add a personal message. Then you are ready to start fundraising!

Start with people you know best - your family and friends. Next, ask acquaintances and local businesses. Consider challenging a friend or colleague to form their own team and compete against each other.
Don't Wait
Fundraising take time. Develop a schedule to give your contacts time to review your page.
Make it Personal
Do you have a special connection to Sustain Charlotte and our mission? Was there something that inspired you to participate in this event? If yes, then make sure you share your story! Odds are your passion will inspire someone to sponsor you and maybe even participate themselves.
Share Messages
Share your story and personal Sustain Charlotte Biketoberfest fundraising page through email and your social media accounts. Ask your supporters to forward your emails, re-tweet your tweets, and share your social media posts. This increases the number of people who see your message and also increases the visibility of Sustain Charlotte's mission.
