Birdathon 2025

As the oldest nature education center of the National Audubon Society, the Greenwich Audubon Center has connected people with nature since 1943. As we head to the field on MONDAY, MAY 12th to tally as many bird species as we can in 24 hours, we encourage you to donate to support protecting the habitats that these birds need and helping to connect future generations to the natural world through our education programs and conservation efforts. We will be posting LIVE updates on Greenwich Audubon Center's Instagram and Facebook pages to bring YOU out into the field with us for this exciting day. Come soar with the Greenwich Goshawks!
This year’s Birdathon is being held in memory of our colleague and friend Rich Merritt, who organized this event with enthusiastic passion every year in his role as Audubon CT-NY’s Director of Operations. Rich brought us together every year to enjoy each other’s company through birding and to promote awareness of our conservation efforts through this fundraiser. It is our hope to honor his memory each year through Birdathon, and if you wish to make a memorial donation in Rich's name you can specify that in the check-out page.
