Bridge 2 Bridge 2022

About Bridge 2 Bridge 2022

Why Did This Start?
This fundraiser started during the beginning of the pandemic and lockdown due to the Covid-19 crisis in 2020.
Goals, Hopes & Objectives

1. Raise more awareness for our mental health services and available programs in our local community.

2. Work toward ending the negative stigma of mental illness and giving confidence to those who are struggling to reach out to family, friends, professionals or others through this platform.

3. Bring the community together over a great cause such as the Bridge 2 Bridge for mental health services. Detailing the importance of positive physical health contributing positive mental health.

It is my intention to show how common mental health struggles are among our neighbours and fellow human beings. If I could help one person become more comfortable with speaking about their personal experiences, that is how we pay it forward.

From my experience of being diagnosed with Bipolar 1 disorder, I have had a flood of positive feedback and support from friends, family, coworkers, former high school classmates and even strangers. It has really shown me the importance of opening up discussions with others, to help unite us as a collective. Everyone is fighting an internal battle that cannot be seen to the naked eye. The only way to combat that, is with open, honest and productive conversation, for the common good.

Positivity is contagious.

Where Do Donations Go? Percentage
The donations will be divided equally among the three of our associated mental health beneficiaries. The Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation, Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare, and Canadian Mental Health Association will all receive 1/3 of the proceeds from the fundraising of this event. Efforts of funding will go toward programs and services provided by each organization that aid in mental health therapy/recovery. This year, CMHA has launched an effort of fundraising to create a full-time position for a covid-19 relief therapist, to help those that are struggling with the internal battle and effects that the pandemic has created and highlighted.
All donations can be online through our registration portal or can be made by cheque addressed to:
