A new companion will do farm more than expand our herd. It will enhance Patrick's daily life by providing opportunities for natural social interaction, enrichment, and companionship.  Watching two camels explore, rest, and interact together also creates a richer, more engaging experience for guests who visit the zoo.


Your gift will help cover the costs associated with brining a new camel to Syracuse, including:

For Years, Patrick has been a beloved ambassador at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo, delighting generations of guests with his gentile personality and unmistakable charm.  But today, Patrick is missing something every social camel deserves - a companion. 
Bactrian Camels are naturally social animals that thrive when living with other camels.  Following the loss of his longtime companion, Patrick has continued to receive exceptional care from our dedicated animal care team, but the best long-term solution is to welcome another male Bactrian camel to become his new herd mate.
