About Camp O Day

First celebrated in 2021, Camp O Day was created to commemorate the founding of Camp Ondessonk.  Held annually on June 28, the date that the first campers came through the Camp Gate in 1959, Camp O Day celebrates the tradition of giving back to Camp Ondessonk.

  • Make a gift to support the mission of Camp Ondessonk while celebrate your time at Camp! 
  • Purchase In-kind gifts to provide supplies for Camp's programs! 
  • Pledge volunteer hours to help Camp throughout the upcoming year! 

How to Participate

We believe that all acts of generosity help shape the world we want to live in, so there are no rules for how to participate in Camp O Day. Every single act of generosity counts, and we encourage you to be creative! Give back in any way that's meaningful to you. Here are some ideas:

  • Join the Team! Visit the crowdfunding site and select “Join the Team” in the decade you identify with to create a personalized fundraiser so you can encourage others to support the place that means so much to you!
  • Create content that inspires and helps your followers get ready for Camp O Day or post our ready-made content. See below for inspiration and assets you can use.

    • Interact with videos and posts on Camp’s social platforms!

      • Go live on Facebook or Instagram to encourage your followers to participate on Camp O Day.

        • Set up a challenge for your followers! Be sure to share with Camp so that it can be promoted further.
          • I.e., Match your followers’ donations to Camp Ondessonk up to a certain amount.
        • Mark that you are attending the Camp O Day Facebook event hosted by Camp Ondessonk.
