Why Participate?

You are helping Special Olympics change lives!

The impact that Special Olympics makes on the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities goes far beyond the playing field. Our sports, education, health and leadership programs positively impact their lives by instilling self-confidence which carries over into their everyday lives.

Our athletes participate in all our programs at no cost to them or their families. Special Olympics could not possibly offer the excellent opportunities to our athletes without the financial support of people in our local communities.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

Special Olympics Nevada uses sports to jumpstart change and spark joy. Through the power of play, we unite people with and without intellectual disabilities to create a more connected community.

Our free programs include:

• Year-round training and competitions i

• Inclusive schools initiatives that unify students of all abilities

• Health and Wellness screenings, lessons and resources for athletes and training of medical professionals

• Athlete Leadership training that empowers people with disabilities to take on meaningful roles and become advocates for themselves and their peers

Thank you for your support!
