Join the Fight Against Colorectal Cancer
I'm participating in the 2023 Colon Cancer Challenge to support the Colon Cancer Foundation's vision to create a world without colorectal cancer. I am asking you to support this great organization by making a donation or joining up for the cause.
The Colon Cancer Challenge offers a 5K & 1 mile walk through Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Participants can compete solo or in teams participating in either the 5K run or the 1 mile remembrance and prevention walk.
Each $35 donation will help us in our educational efforts to raise awareness around colorectal cancer screening and that 45 years is the age to initiate screening. Join us and help our community!
Did You Know?
- Colorectal cancer (CRC) remains the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S.
- CRC is preventable with on-time screening!
- Screening begins at 45 years if you have no symptoms or family history of CRC.
- Blood in your stools, abnormal bowel movements or a family history of CRC: speak to your doctor about starting screening early!
- Screening options include at-home or stool-based test kits.
