Why Become A Champion for Childhood Cancer?

Fourth and Gold is funding the most promising pediatric cancer research!

Since becoming a non-profit in 2020, Fourth and Gold has funded $476,000 in pediatric research grants, focusing on leukemia, brain tumors and neuroblastomas. We are focused on finding the WHY behind the diagnosis, as well as finding and funding less toxic treatments for children already fighting an uphill battle. Children should NEVER run out of treatment options.

Your support will help Fourth and Gold continue moving the ball down the field and going for the cure of childhood cancer.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

Pediatric Cancer Research Only Receives 4% of All Federal Funding

  • Watching children suffer through toxic chemotherapy and radiation in order to have a fighting chance at growing up is not the path we should be on. Children deserve to THRIVE, not just SURVIVE. We have to find and fund a less toxic cure.
  • Only 3 new treatments have been developed specifically for pediatric cancers since 1980. If any child is running out of treatment options, we are not fulfilling our mission.
  • The outdated, toxic treatments are very devastating, causing severe physical and emotional side effects for children and their families.
  • Over 2/3 of childhood cancer survivors will suffer from chronic health problems for the rest of their lives, including the possibility of infertility, heart disease, chronic pain and more.

Thank you for your support!

The Fourth and Gold families below have set up Champions for Childhood Cancer pages, to honor the courageous battle with childhood cancer for someone they love. The funds raised by each family will be trackable, allowing them to see the difference their child's fight has made. Every $1 donated to the Champions for Childhood Cancer funds goes right back to the most promising less toxic research.

To date, Fourth and Gold has funded $476,000 in promising  childhood cancer research.
