Why I Support the Police Unity Tour

I am honored to be part of the Police Unity Tour – Chapter IX and to help honor the law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We come together with one purpose: to Remember the Fallen and show their families that their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

For 2027 I have the distinct honor of riding for Lt. Eddie Mays of the Bernie Police Department Missouri to continue to tell his story and keep his legacy fresh in the memories of everyone I come across.  

During Police Week 2026 I had the honor to meet with the family of Lt. Eddie Mays from the Bernie Police Department in Missouri EOW 6-5-25.  Listening to their stories of Eddie as a husband, father, grandfather and co-worker reinforced the reason that I ride, to never forget the legacy that our fallen have ingrained for those following in their footsteps.  

Eddie served his community first as an airman in the United States Air Force, and then upon returning continued to serve first with the Bloomfield Police Department, and then with a deputy at the Stoddard County Sheriff's Office.  He then transitioned to the Bernie Police Department where he attained the rank of Lieutenant and served until his passing in 2025.  Eddie's legacy includes a loving wife who is a pilar of the family's strength, his two children, and eight grandchildren.  I was also able to speak with his friends, co-workers, and his Chief who in turn all described a man that touched everyone he had contact with, and who left behind an impactful legacy.

For 2027, the Harford County Sheriff's Office has fielded a TEAM of riders to raise funds for our fallen, and the legacy of many others.
