It's crazy that 40% (120 billion pounds) of the US food supply goes to waste every year while 9 million American kids face hunger
No child in America should ever go hungry. It's crazy that 40% (120 billion pounds) of the US food supply goes to waste every year while 9 million American kids face hunger. That's way too many kids who lack access to the nourishment they need to thrive. That's why I'm participating in Chefs Cycle for No Kid Hungry, an incredible initiative that combines culinary talent, physical endurance, and fundraising to fight childhood hunger.
For a decade, Chefs Cycle has brought together passionate chefs and culinary community members committed to making a difference. By taking on physical challenges, we're raising awareness and vital funds to ensure that no child in America is left behind.
But we can't do it alone. We need your support to create lasting change. By donating today, you become a force in the fight against childhood hunger. Together, we can provide nutritious meals, hope, and a brighter future for America's kids.
At No Kid Hungry, they say that $1 can help provide 10 meals for kids. Donors sometimes ask: How is this possible?
It’s not because they get a bulk discount on food. In fact, No Kid Hungry doesn't buy any food. That's because lack of food isn’t the problem in the United States. It's lack of access. No Kid Hungry works to make sure children have reliable access to the food they need.
The organization does that by supporting school and community meals programs, providing grants to help people get the equipment they need to feed kids and advocating for better laws and policies.
By donating, you're joining us in this powerful, impactful mission. Together, we can make hunger a thing of the past for every child in America. Thank you for your support!
