Chefs Cycle 2025

joining chefs cycle in 2024 was a pivotal moment of change in my life. rather than staying on the sidelines, quietly donating to others, i became an active participant and spending a few days riding bikes with this group of like-minded people is the single best decision i have made in a long time. 

the difference between donating to charity and engaging with something greater than yourself is preposterously large. 

this cause is personal to me. 

growing up, my family always managed to have food on the table, though sometimes it was a struggle. at times i relied on the free lunch programs in school and my mother was on food stamps at various times... these programs were much needed assistance that helped when we needed it most. i can't imagine living with food insecurity in 2025.

we live in the wealthiest nation on the planet and cannot guarantee our children are properly fed. this is unacceptable and i will continue to work with no kid hungry and chefs cycle to put an end to childhood hunger.
