About Chicago Get Down with Down Syndrome Dance -A-Thon 2020

Join us VIRTUALLY on Saturday, November 14th for our 6th Annual Get Down with Down Syndrome Dance-A-Thon!

Although this year's Dance-A-Thon looks different from those of the past, that doesn’t mean we still can’t bust out our favorite dance moves and celebrate with our Playhouse friends, all while raising money for an incredible cause.

There is no need to leave your house as we will be bringing the party to YOU! So, push aside your living room furniture and get ready to get down on your own dance floor!

Your generous donations will fund new programs and existing programs like Cooking Club, the Amina Grace One-on-One Speech and Language Program, Literacy and Math Tutoring, Dance and more!

This is how it works: Once you register, ask people to join your team, donate, or become a sponsor while you Get Down for Down Syndrome. Recruit your friends, family, co-workers, etc. to help raise money and support our Playhouse. Please make sure to post on your social media channels and spread the news as anyone can join a virtual event!

Why Participate?

GiGi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center’s mission is to change the way the world views Down syndrome and to send a global message of acceptance for all.  We change lives through the consistent delivery of free, educational, therapeutic-based and career development programs for individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the community.

How your support makes a difference

Through free programs and through our Generation G Campaign for global acceptance, we EMPOWER families by maximizing opportunities for daily achievement and lasting acceptance. To ensure lasting acceptance, we must show the world what individuals with Down syndrome are truly capable of achieving as students, co-workers, volunteers, friends, and valued members of their communities. Our program outcomes help advance this vital social impact goal.
