Come one, come all, come celebrate our fourth annual Giving Day! Held on March 12 in salute to Chicago’s original area code 312. Help us raise $100,000 by March 12!

The Chicago History Museum’s mission is to serve as the primary destination for learning, inspiration, and civic engagement, connecting people to Chicago’s history and each other. We foster curiosity and inspire people to seek knowledge and meaning from history. We preserve and share Chicago’s past—through provocative exhibitions, compelling programs for learners of all ages, and our world-renowned collections—and invite people to think critically about how it shapes our present. By sharing Chicago stories, CHM encourages everyone to explore our city and promotes dialogue that propels us toward a brighter future.

Join our mission for #CHMGivingDay to meet our goal to raise $100,000 by March 12, 2023. Support at all levels allow us to continue to provide opportunities to engage with history and to care for the archives and artifacts that tell our city’s stories.

Make a gift today!

Ways you can make a difference:

1) Making a gift of any size. All new and increased gifts will be matched, up to $20,000, by an anonymous donor. Our very own CHM member, D. Elizabeth Price, has also pledged a $2,500 challenge to match donations 1:1. Gifts made now through March 12, 2023 count!

2) Become a Giving Ambassador. Create and personalize your fundraising page. Share it with friends, family, and coworkers via social media and email. Encourage them to give. It's easy and fun!

3) Join us in person on 3/12 for Giving Day activities at CHM. Check out the schedule below!
