On Saturday, August 15, 2020 USO of Illinois is inviting you to give summer its last “HOO-AH!” by rocking your block at Clark After Dark @ Home. We won't be seeing you on Clark Street this year - but we still need your support. USO of Illinois continues to support military and their families across the state during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
How can you help?
- Rock your block by hosting a party in your backyard, on your street or in your home to raise funds for USO of Illinois.

How are we helping?
- USO of Illinois has supported, and will continue to support, more than 2,500 members of the Illinois Army and Air National Guard deployed on the frontlines of the COVID-19 crisis in Chicagoland and statewide through meal deliveries, snacks and beverages.
- We are hosting web-based programs for our military families in self isolation, including sing-alongs with local performers, story time with a celebrity voice over artist, STEAM activities such as learning engineering through the building of newspaper forts, and other interactive activities for children of all ages. Nearly 1,000 military families have been impacted by our virtual events.
- USO of Illinois has supported, and will continue to support, quarantined service members at Naval Station Great Lakes with drinks, snacks, video games and entertainment items. We have served 17,000 military members and their families in the communities around Naval Station Great Lakes.

Host a Cook Off - Pick your favorite dish and challenge your friends to make it better than you! Charge an entry fee for each dish to raise funds.
Challenge your Guests - Backyard games like corn hole, ring toss, giant jenga, larger than life tic-tac-toe, and more are a great way to get competitive guests geared up! Sell your guests tickets for each game to raise funds. For more ideas on easy to set up games click here.
Host an Elegant Dinner Party - Cook your favorite meal or grab take out from a local hot spot. Invite guests over for an elegant dinner party. Ask your guests to make a donation in support of the USO. Want to share with your guests how USO impacts our service members lives click here.
Raffle Off Mystery Boxes - Fill paper boxes with items such as a nice bottle of wine, gift cards to local restuarants, or silly items with toilet paper to stump your guests! Sell raffle tickets to see which guests are taking home your fabulous prizes.
Have a Garage Sale - Looking to get rid of some items laying around your house? Host a garage sale and give a portion of the proceeds to the USO!
Plan a "Drive In" Movie Night - Invite your friends over to watch your favorite film, charge your guests for tickets and donate the proceeds to the USO! Don't forget the popcorn and snacks.
