Welcome to the #ConeHealthCares Virtual 5K/10K. We are so excited that you want to join us and “go the distance” for our Cone Health heroes!

A celebration of Cone Health’s Wellness Month, funds raised in this event will be donated towards the COVID-19 Support Fund which was activated to provide essential support and resources for the patients, caregivers, families and communities in our region in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Your participation in this race will not only raise money for this important effort, but will show your support for all our heroes at Cone Heath who are fighting this pandemic.

You may be asking yourself, “What is a virtual 5K/10K?” In this age of social distancing, where in-person gatherings are not advised, we want to encourage you to keep moving and stay healthy. With this virtual event, you determine your own route and can run or walk the distance you choose. Please remember the importance of social distancing – meaning if you participate with others, to keep a safe 6 ft distance (exceptions apply for your immediate family, of course).

Here are the steps to this virtual race:

Step 1. Register yourself or sign up for a team.

Step 2. Download the Event Tool Kit and decide your route.

Step 3. Complete your virtual 5K or 10K between May 17^th and May 31^st.

Step 4. Report your results.

Step 5. Tell your friends and keep them updated on social media with this picture and using the hashtags #ConeHealthCares or #ConeHealthStrong
