Welcome Everyone!
We are excited to present to you the 2021 VIRTUAL Coachella Valley Wildflower Festival. As you visit our website DesertMountains.org you will find several opportunities to support our annual event. In the past year we have faced many challenges and have learned to persevere. While we will miss gathering together in Palm Desert, the mix of fun things we have planned makes the Festival even more accessible to everyone wanting to Connect to the Land.
With your support it helps continue Friends of the Desert Mountains mission. Join me throughout the month of March with our scheduled activities.
Have fun exploring and continue to be safe!
Tammy Martin
Executive Director
There is no better harbinger of spring and renewal than Friends of the Desert Mountains’ annual Coachella Valley Wildflower Festival -- and it is slated this year for the entire month of March!
#VirtualSuperBloom - use our hashtag when you share your flower adventures & let’s dazzle the world with our desert beauties!
Coachella Valley Wildflower Festival 2021 is blossoming into an exotic hybrid of online activities and individualized outdoor challenges to raise awareness of the many wildflowers throughout Coachella Valley, always with an emphasis on exploring and supporting our splendid Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument.
Now more than ever, people need to Connect to the Land.
What better way than to challenge yourself to get outdoors than by supporting the public lands that afford many this restorative opportunity.
Getting outside is the best social distancing fitness opportunity going right now. It's spring, and as the flowers return to the desert it's a lovely new landscape to explore and a feast for our hungry senses. Sign up for the 30x30x30 - and take our flower field guide or a nature hunt with you, and really get to know the land.

The Board of Directors of Friends, the staff, our volunteers, and our partners greatly appreciate your support and we pledge to continue to be Coachella Valley’s leader in land conservation, support for the Santa Rosa & San Jacinto Mountains National Monument, and natural science education and outreach.
We at the Friends of the Desert Mountains recognize that you have many choices regarding where your much needed donation dollars go. There are hundreds of worthwhile charitable organizations here in the Coachella Valley alone. Your belief in what we do and in what we stand for makes a tremendous difference to us as we work to help others connect to the land.
