YOUTH ART CONTEST:
NATURALLY INSPIRED!
Do you see beauty in the great outdoors around you? Friends of the Desert Mountains and Coachella Valley Wildflower Festival invite young artists like you to enter your best original Coachella Valley-themed nature-related drawing or painting in our Youth Art Contest.

Art Contest Information:
- Theme: Nature related to the Coachella Valley
- Age Groups: 4-6 Years Old, 7-9 Years Old, 10-12 Years Old
- Each participant will be given an art canvas board to create the artwork.
- Participants can use colored pencils, crayons, watercolor or paint.
- No words, logos, or traced art please: be original!
Awards & Prizes:
1st place for each age group will receive an IPad
2nd place for each age group will receive a tshirt and book of their choice from the Friends of the Desert Mountains Gift Shop.
3rd place for each age group will receive a tshirt and book of their choice from the Friends of the Desert Mountains Gift Shop.
Details:
- Finished art work delivered to YMCA, 43930 San Pablo Ave., Palm Desert, CA BY March 18, 2021
- Postcards will be created and sold on Friends website as a group. Permission form will be provided to the parent/caregiver for signature.
- Each participant who submits artwork for judging will receive a certificate of participation.
- All artwork needs to be picked from the YMCA by April 9. If not picked up they will be donated.
