My name is Zachary Boersema and I currently serve as the Associate Executive Director at the YMCA at the Athenaeum. This is my third year participating in Cycle-A-Thon and first time as an instructor. This event has become a way to honor my Dad who I lost to cancer a little over a year ago. Being able to raise money that will help support the LiveStrong program we have at our YMCA’s, which allows cancer survivors to have community and help give them the resources to make a full recovery, helps me to heal and to hopefully make my Dad proud. My class is great for any fitness level and the aim is to have some fun while getting a workout in. I like a variety of music, so hopefully there are some tunes everyone can enjoy!
