About the Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation

The Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Norton Children’s pediatric facilities and services. Norton Children’s Hospital is Kentucky and Southern Indiana’s only full-service, free-standing pediatric hospital with pediatric and adolescent specialists and subspecialists representing more than 35 areas of focused clinical care.

Norton Children’s Hospital relies on support from the community through the Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation. In 2022, the foundation through the generosity and support of the community raised more than $25 million to support critical programs, purchase new equipment and technologies, fund clinical research, expand regional programs, build or enhance facilities, and continues to make our advanced facilities and many specialized services available to all families regardless of their ability to pay.

Recently, the Foundation board continued our investment in the work of Norton Children’s by funding more than $1 million to support the Norton Children’s Prevention & Wellness Programs. These programs help educate children and families in many areas including injury prevention, nutrition and wellness, and responding to emergencies involving possible poisonings through the Kentucky Poison Control Center at Norton Children’s Hospital. In addition, funding to the program helps to provide gunlocks to the community and education around gun safety and help expand our 22 food pantries established across our community supporting more than 21,000 families struggling with food insecurity.
