Hi! My name is Rae Ann Veazey, and I am so excited and honored to be a part of Dancing for Gold 2022! I was born and raised in Sharpe, KY and still live there on our family farm. I am a proud graduate of Marshall County High School and the University of Kentucky. I will always bleed ORANGE and BLUE!
I have worked as a speech-language pathologist (SLP) for over 25 years; 21of those years have been spent in public education. This will be my 10th year at Morgan Elementary in the Paducah Public School system, and I feel like Morgan is my extended family. I am pleased to be an active participant in all the great things that happen every day for our students. I also work part-time as an SLP at Mercy Health in Paducah. It is interesting and rewarding to have the best of both worlds!
I am the proud mother of two wonderful children (Jacob, 20 and Chloe, 14) who keep me busy and actively involved in the community. When I am not working or spending time with my family, I enjoy dining at our local restaurants with my friends. Some of my other favorite past times include watching UK basketball (and many other sports), reading suspense novels, attending country music concerts, listening to local bands, traveling to big cities and beaches, exercising at the gym, and sitting on my patio enjoying the fire pit and good conversation.
