Dancing for Gold® 2026 supporting Book for Hope®

I dance for childhood cancer because every step, every beat, and every movement is a tribute to the strength and resilience of children fighting the toughest battles. Through dance, I raise awareness, honor their courage, and help fund the research and support they desperately need. It’s my way of turning passion into purpose—bringing hope, joy, and solidarity to families affected by childhood cancer. Dancing becomes more than art; it becomes a voice for those who need to be heard and a light in their darkest moments.
About Christal
I am proud to call Paducah my hometown. I was born and raised in this beautiful city, which I’m fortunate to still call home. I’ve been married to my husband, Dustin Crane, for 11 wonderful years, and together, we have two amazing children: Charlie Jack (9) and Carleigh James (7). As a family, we enjoy traveling, attending concerts, and cheering on the UK Wildcats and the St. Louis Cardinals.
When I’m not spending time with my family, you’ll find me at Clark Elementary School, where I currently serve as the Academic Dean. It is a true honor to work in the very school district that helped shape who I am today.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Learning and Behavior Disorders from Murray State University. I later returned to Murray State to complete two Master’s degrees, one in Teacher Leadership and the other in Education Administration.
As an educator, I proudly participate in this event to support childhood cancer awareness. Through these efforts, I aim to show my students the power of compassion, action, and community. My hope is to inspire both my students and my own children to believe that their voices and actions—no matter how small—can make a meaningful difference in the world!
