I'm Jasmine Youngblood, a morning anchor at WPSD Local 6. Every day, I have the privilege of sharing stories that connect our community, but this one is especially close to my heart.
I'm honored to be participating in Dancing for Gold®, an incredible event hosted by Book for Hope that supports children and families facing childhood cancer. Cancer has touched my own family in profound ways. I've watched my grandparents navigate their own battles with this disease, and I know the fear, uncertainty, and strength that come with those difficult moments.
That's why this opportunity means so much to me. If stepping outside my comfort zone and onto the dance floor can help ease the burden for even one child or family, then every rehearsal, missed step, and nervous moment is worth it.
