About David's Refuge Virtual Run

Runners know how how much drive and dedication is needed to cross the finish line. Each year, we have Boilermaker Charity Bib runners who dedicate their race to Caring For The Caregiver. These runners commit to raising at least $300 for David's Refuge and get a free registration for the Boilermaker 15K or 5K, but this year, we are inviting EVERYONE to join team 'Running For Respite'.

Whether you'd like to register for Boilermaker or simply get active while making a difference, this is a great way to do it. Join in on the love and appreciation and choose to to pay the gift of crossing the finish line forward - By finishing your race, you will give parents of kids with special needs the tools to keep running theirs!

How Your Support Makes a Difference

Whether you'd like to register for Boilermaker or simply get active while making a difference, this is a great way to do it. Many of us now understand the feelings of isolation and solitude that caregivers have felt for years. These difficult times bring extra stresses into the lives of caregivers and their families. They are feeling even more isolated and alone, and many of their resources have been pulled away. Your support reminds these caregivers, now when they need it most, that they are not alone, what they do matters and that God and our community loves them. Your donation will provide respite, meals, resources and a caring community to build strong parents. We know that strong parents = strong families = strong communities, so let's get to work!

Why Participate?

David's Refuge is all about love, support and community.  When you join Charity Bib, you are joining a family that works together to support and protect a vulnerable population. Each step of your race brings joy, education, self-care and respite to care-giving parents.  As you cross this year's virtual finish line, you will not only be achieving your goals - You will be encouraging caregivers to push for theirs as well.
