Parks allow people of all ages, interests, and abilities to come together and enjoy the outdoors. Our community deserves our parks to reflect all the beauty that Douglas has to offer.
We want to say thank you for the amazing support so far on this project. Everyone's effort is making this project come to life.
Phase 1 is complete thanks to our great community!
October 15, 2020: Phase 1 community build was a huge sucess. The Beery Field renovation is complete and one playspace at Schultz Park is installed. Check out the picutres on our instagram or play in person at the parks!
Phase 2 is underway:
Right now: We are fundraising to complete Phase 2. This will hopefully include finishing the renovation at Schultz Park: 5-12 inclusive playspace, fun individual pieces and adult fitness area. Follow us on instagram for all the latest news!
We are raising money through individual donations, monthly contests, community fundraisers, and grants. All funds raised will go directly towards the renovation at Schultz Park.
We are hoping to raise all the funds by Summer 2022, and we cannot do it alone!

The Douglas Park Project Committee is a volunteer group of local residents. Our Committee received approval from Douglas City Council for the replacement of equipment at Beery Field and creating a playground and adult workout area at Schultz Park.
Following an initial research and interview process, Sinclair Recreation of Holland, was selected to complete the project. Their designs focus on giving people of all ages and abilities space for play and exercise.
