Virtual Fall Wellness Challenge

While we have faced unpreceded challenges due to COVID-19, our commitment to the children remains strong. Each year, we serve over 3,500 children in the foster care system. This year, due to the new challenges that COVID-19 has pinned, your support is needed now more than ever!

It’s the stories behind the number of children we serve that paints the real picture. It's the story of a 5 year-old girl that was removed from their home in the middle of the night because of ongoing physical abuse. Her physical scars eventually will heal, but she’s left with the emotional scars that will forever follow her. Or it’s the 12 year-old boy that experienced sexual assault by a member of his family and was placed into a group home where he had struggled to adapt to a setting that’s completely foreign to him. But because of people like you, these children and so many others like them, are provided with their essential needs, help to make them feel cared about and have their voice heard, and give them opportunities to be a kid again.

In light of what all our children in foster care have experienced these last months and through their young lives, we can't help but be humbled by the trauma, pain, anxiety, and vulnerability many or facing. Now more than ever, Voices for Children of Broward County needs the help of fundraisers and donors, like you, to continue to fund critical programming during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure the children not only survive but thrive. Funds raised through the Dream BIG Virtual Fall Wellness Challenge will benefit our mission and ensure that programs can continue to meet the traditional needs and now, the new needs due to COVID-19.
