The Millennium Society is a community of diverse, philanthropically-minded women who are improving health care in our community. Membership is open to all women with a passion for supporting Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children, or Madison Hospital through an annual contribution of at least $1,000. Each year, members vote and choose a hospital department or program to support through their collective donations.
Millennium Society members voted to fund these areas for 2021:
- 5 patient scholarships to the Becky Streetman Center to help individuals receive the nutritional support they need to overcome eating disorders ($25,000)
- 10 Daisy P. Swinton Scholarships to empower future nursing students to attain the education and training they need to pursue their dreams ($25,000)
- 2 high-tech Welch Vital Sign Machines to take pediatric oxygen stats at Caring for Life's Inpatient Hospice Facility ($6,818)
- 12 Locking Bedside Carts for IV supplies in the Pediatric Emergency Department ($26,117)
