ENStrong Challenge - The details

Will you join the ENStrong Challenge in support of emergency nursing?  ENA Foundation’s largest fundraising campaign is your chance to support your colleagues and the emergency nursing profession. Funds raised from the Challenge will provide essential, educational opportunities for emergency nursing students and professionals all over the world. Below is everything you need to know to participate.

THE GOALS:

• Raise $500,000 overall to fund scholarship and grant programs in 2025

• Participation from ALL states councils including members of our global community! 

• Raise public awareness about the importance of emergency nursing and the impact our members have on communities across the globe


THE DETAILS:

• The Challenge timeline is January 27 – May 31

• State Councils, State Chapters and individuals (members or nonmembers) may donate on behalf of their state

• Each State Council will have a unique campaign home page that they can use to collect donations and track participation

• States that raise $5,000 or more and designate their support for scholarship when making their donation will have the opportunity to name a scholarship for the 2025 scholarship cycle

• Brick paver purchases, endowment gifts or gifts directed to other areas of support (research, Emergency  Relief, etc.) will count toward your state’s overall total, but not toward a $5,000 named scholarship.  Only those donations the are designated to Scholarship at the time of the transaction  will count towards a named academic scholarship.


HOW TO PARTICIPATE AS AN INDIVIDUAL: 

  • There are four ways to participate as an individual – and with each engagement you will earn points for your Council or for yourself

  • Make a donation

  • Fundraise for the Challenge through your own personal page – your fundraising  success will count toward your State’s totals!

  • Recruit others to fundraise for the Challenge

  • Share on social media to spread the word

  • For each engagement you will earn points that will count towards your Council’s total


    • What are the criteria to win for an individual:

    1. Recruitment points gain by adding new participants (25 points per recruited participant)

    2. Social media outreach via the ENStrong platform (10 points per pic/post using #ENStrong)

    3. Use of the campaigns email feature (1 point for each email sent)

    4. Donate to the challenge (10 points)

    5. Solicit five (5) or more donations to your personal fundraising page. ( 1 point for every dollar raised)


    Bonus Points

    1. Individuals that reach their fundraising goal will get a point booster (50 pts)


    The Prizes (Individual) 

                   1.  Added to the Challenge Cup as the 2024 winner (Cup to be presented at EN2024)

                   2. One conference full registration and two nights of hotel accommodations

                   3. Winning indivdual will be invited to the Hall of Honor reception at EN24

                   4. Free registeration) for the ENweek Virtual 5k

                   5. One 4x8 brick in ENAF’s memorial garden at ENA Headquarters

                   6. Social media announcement of winner



    State Councils, State Chapters or individuals who wish to make gifts towards endowments or brick paver purchases should contact the ENA Foundation office for assistance

    Goal Vs. Pledge 


    Pledge: State Councils set and budget for their ENStrong pledge during their budgeting process. The pledged amount represents dollars the Foundation is counting on to support the 2025 funding cycle.


    Goal: Each State Council’s fundraising goal should be more than its pledge and is the amount that the team is trying to raise. The fundraising goal should be more than your pledged amount.

    How do Councils win?

    Council will be broken up into groups based on the size of their membership.

    Councils’ first three task to complete to be eligible to win the Challenge:  

    1. Claim their team page (pages have already been built for you!)
    2. Council makes and fulfills ENStrong pledge (10 points)
    3. Identify your team captain and confirmed that they have been assigned via confirmation email from the Foundation (10 points)
    4. Meet their magic number of participants that can be found in the chart below :
