Grifols Organizes 5k Run in Erie, PA to Support the GBS|CIPD Foundation

Grifols, is a global healthcare company whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of people around the world. Supporting the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, Grifols partners with national and local charity organizations that, benefit our communities, raise awareness of rare diseases, and educate the general public on the need for plasma donations.

Grifols supports the GBS|CIPD community through our plasma-derived medicines, research sponsorships, charitable grants for educational initiatives. 

Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) and Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP) are rare neurological disorders of the peripheral nerves that effect approximately 450,000 people in the world. Medications made from plasma are potential treatments for both GBS and CIPD.

This year, Grifols and its Biomat  USA center in Erie, PA have organized a 5k run on August 13th, 2022, to fundraise for the GBS|CIPD Foundation.

The race will be held  on August 13th, 2022 at Presque Isle State Park, Beach 1, 301 Peninsula Dr. Erie Pa 16505, with a scheduled start of 7:30 a.m. Registration is $25 and all participants will receive a special event T-shirt.
