About Faculty and Staff Endowed Fund for 2023 Blue & Gold Event
Loyola Blakefield is excited to debut its signature fundraising event for the 2022–23 school year on Saturday, March 11. Blue & Gold: Toasting Ignatian Educators will feature premium open bars, signature cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres, upscale dinner and dessert buffets, live entertainment and dancing with Maryland’s best DJs (Koko Brothers), and an incredible opportunity to raise critical funds that support our school, our students, and our beloved Ignatian educators.
Throughout the evening, we will honor six educators who have had a lasting impact on the Loyola Blakefield community over many years:
Joseph Brune: Loyola Blakefield from 1967–2002
College Counselor, Legendary Football Coach, Ignatian Educator
Sheila Brune: Loyola Blakefield from 1983–2019
Dean of Students Office, Mentor, Kairos leader, Ignatian Educator
Dr. Vincent "Doc" Fitzpatrick ’68: Loyola Blakefield from 1979–2021
English Teacher, Coach, Mentor, Ignatian Educator
Rev. Lloyd George, SJ: Loyola Blakefield from 1974–2020
Taught Classical Languages, long-time Jesuit at Loyola Blakefield, Ignatian Educator
Donald Kraft: Loyola Blakefield from 1997–2021
Soccer and Tennis Coach, Physical Education Teacher, Mentor, Ignatian Educator
Karen Preis: Loyola Blakefield from 1983–2018
Middle School Teacher, Mentor, Ignatian Educator
GOAL
Along with this special event, we are hoping to raise crucial dollars to support our newly established Faculty and Staff Endowed Fund. The goal is to raise $50,000 in one week.
MILESTONE GIFTS

When we collectively reach $5,000, we unlock a $5,000 gift, sponsored by Mr. William A. Romberger III '82.
