What is Falcon Walk?
Falcon Walk is an annual fundraising campaign to support the mission of Holy Spirit to be a Catholic community dedicated to faith formation, academic excellence, individual growth, and service to others. All school families, Wee School through 8th grade, are encouraged to participate.
What is Falcon Week?
Falcon Week is a celebration of the spirit within Holy Spirit! It is the final week of the annual Falcon Walk fundraising campaign and student prizes will be awarded during this week. Students will end the week by participating in Falcon Walk Day, hosted by PTO, and families are encouraged to attend Falcon Fest, hosted by Parish Athletics. For exact dates and details, please see the FACTS calendar or the Falcon Week Kick Off email sent on Wednesday, September 2 from the Holy Spirit PTO Falcon Walk Committee.
Why are we raising money?
Your donation to Falcon Walk supports student activities, program enhancements, extracurricular activities, facility improvements, classroom supplies, teacher appreciation and other items that fall outside of our school budget. A portion of the funds raised during Falcon Walk will be allocated to Parish Athletics to create a collaborative community to support the students of Holy Spirit School and Parish Athletics during Falcon Week. This year, PTO and Athletics are joining forces to raise money for the installation of an artificial turf field to be installed behind the Ministry Center. This field would allow students more access to play during recess and aftercare, provide practice space for Athletics, and event space for community events.
Who can participate in Falcon Week?
All Holy Spirit families, Wee School - 8th grade, are encouraged to participate in Falcon Week.
Will we get raffle tickets too?
No, Parish Athletics discontinued their FalconFest raffle in 2023. It is our hope to create a collaborative community to support the students of Holy Spirit School and Parish Athletics during Falcon Week.
How will the funds be divided between Holy Spirit School and Parish Athletics?
A predetermined amount was agreed upon between the Falcon Walk Committee and the Athletics Committee. It is our mutual goal to increase interest in all the events that support school spirit.
Can I use the same Falcon Walk page that I used last year?
No, we will continue to use the same OneCause Peer-to-Peer Fundraising platform that was used last year so the functionality will remain the same, but each student will receive a new page to be used in 2026.
Do I need to register for a giving page?
No, all students have been assigned a giving page for their use, or the Falcon Walk Campaign page can be accessed via hspirit.org. Donors can select your student's name from their homeroom. To find your student's giving page link, look for an email sent on Wednesday, September 2nd from the "Holy Spirit PTO Falcon Walk Committee". If you have students in different grades, you will receive an individual email for each grade level.
Can donations be divided equally among students?
No, OneCause does not allow donations to be divided between students. While this is a slight inconvenience, it allows the Falcon Walk Committee and individual families to better track their student’s donations and prize eligibility on their student page. An individual student must be selected with each online donation and award credit will only be applied to the student selected.
My student's grandparent donated and mistakenly added it to all one student. Can you adjust to all my children?
It's very easy to select one student at a time and would appreciate any assistance from school families in helping relatives to navigate this process. Should an error occur, please contact Lorri Roberts at lorri@gilroberts.net for assistance and we will do our best to adjust. Please note that adjustments may impact on the delivery of prizes.
What is Turf Battle Week?
Turf Battle Week is a challenge within the Falcon Walk campaign to encourage classes to work as a team to raise funds for Holy Spirit. Donations from 12:01am on September 14th through 9:00am on September 18th are counted toward this challenge and tracked during the week. At the end of the week, all donations received prior to September 14th are added back in for the final tally. The winning classroom for each grade will receive a visit from the Candy Wagon on September 18th.
Why was the Malibu Jacks prize removed?
Based on the feedback of parents in our Fundraising Survey that was done in April 2026, it was decided that we would scale back the value of prizes to allow for more money to go toward the cause, ie. the turf project.
What are the campaign dates? When is the latest time that I can donate for my student to be eligible for prizes?
The Falcon Walk fundraising campaign starts following Kick Off on Wednesday, September 2nd and ends at 6:00pm on Friday, September 25th. Donations received after this time do not count toward student’s eligibility for prizes.
Can I pay by cash or check? If so, how?
Donations made via cash or check should be sent to the school office LABELED with your student's FULL name and Homeroom. PTO will enter offline donations each Friday during the campaign. Donations without a name and homeroom associated with them may impact on the delivery of prizes.
I can't find my email with my student's online giving link. Please help!
All emails were sent out on September 2nd from "Holy Spirit PTO Falcon Walk Committee". If you've checked your inbox and junk folder and still can't find it, please reach out to jgiannone@hspiritschool.org for assistance.
Can I use my company’s sponsorship toward my student’s fundraising goal?
No, Falcon Walk is a student-centered fundraising campaign and sponsorships/turf partnerships do not count toward student’s eligibility for prizes.
