For forty years, families with hospitalized children have found a "home away from home" at San Diego's Ronald McDonald House. Our 56-room House and Family Care Center typically houses 1,000 families a year and offers day services to an additional 12,000 people with meals, showers, napping rooms, and more.
Throughout COVID-19, we've accommodated families with the most urgent need, providing lodging, meals, and educational activities. We've adapted meal service so that families not staying with us may pick up meals at our front door during their child's hospitalization. We have put in place rigorous protocols to ensure the health and safety of families and their medically fragile children, and we have a comprehensive four-phase plan for expanding programs according to the progress of COVID-19.
We are grateful to these longtime friends for their generosity and leadership in this unprecedented time. They have committed to match gifts to the Emergency Family Care Fund, for a total of $350.000 available! Your contribution to the Emergency Family Care Fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar and be used to provide lodging and care.
Help us bring in these matching funds and double the impact of your gift today.
Children with life-threatening medical conditions can't wait for COVID-19 to abate, and they need their families close. Yet COVID-19 closures have seriously impacted many of the sources of funding we rely on to keep family care available at no cost to families in their time of crisis.
Your gift to the Emergency Family Care Fund will be applied where it's needed most in this challenging time, ensuring that families have a "home away from home" now and in the future.
And your gift will have DOUBLE impact when it is matched! Your gift can help us bring in $350,000 from some generous friends who've created a match fund to encourage your gift today.
Thank you for your caring and generosity.
