About FRONTIER DISTRICT FRIENDS OF SCOUTING

Welcome to the Frontier District from our District Committee Chairman, Scott Cannon “Through my life in Scouting, I believe one of the most important parts of the program for the Scouts(and Scouters) is simply enjoying the experience. Whether learning a new skill, working on a merit badge, or just being in the great outdoors, take the time to enjoy the experience. Our job as Scouters is to enable that experience by putting on the best program possible for all youth, from Lion to Eagle" The Frontier District supports the Scouting Program in the 8 rural counties in the north central part of the Ozark Trails Council: Cedar, Dade, Dallas, Hickory, Laclede, Polk, Webster and Wright.

Our mission is to serve others by helping to instill values in young people and, in other ways, to prepare them to make ethical choices during their lifetime in achieving their full potential.

The Boy Scouts of America changes lives by providing youth with character development, citizenship training, personal fitness, and leadership skills they will carry forward into their adult lives. The values Scouting instills are just as relevant in helping youth grow to their full potential as they were in 1910 when the organization was founded.

Every week, millions of Scouts raise their hands and make a promise. It’s not a pledge to an organization. It’s a lifelong commitment to themselves, their families, and the community they share. Your financial investment, your time, and talents to help deliver this program to our youth are among the greatest gifts you can make. Take a moment to invest in the leaders of tomorrow.
