2024 Fund the Flame of Holy Spirit Catholic School

For three short weeks, from April 5 to April 25, we are raising important funds to bless the work of Holy Spirit Catholic School! The entire student body and their parents are collectively fundraising together to ask friends, family, framily, parishioners, neighbors, colleagues and alumni for donations that fund the flame of Catholic education here in Overland Park.

Your support for faith-first education at Holy Spirit is more important than ever. Our school depends on the generosity of our community to provide educational excellence and faith formation to enflame hearts with Christ's love. 

Your contribution has an immediate and lasting impact on teaching the faith & keeping the faith.

* 100% of the proceeds stay right here at Holy Spirit!

* Funds will be put toward a new, K-8 language arts curriculum, Wit & Wisdom, designed to build comprehensive skills that students need to be successful readers, exceptional writers, and effective communicators.

* All students will receive rewards for achieving various levels as a group!

Each year, parishioners and school parents take part in our parish's largest fundraiser of the year: the Holy Spirit Grand Gala. It's an incredible night of fellowship and fundraising, which includes dinner, dancing as well as a silent and live auction. 

Both the school and the church undertake a lot exciting preparations for the big event. From a kid's viewpoint, they are watching and hearing about Gala both from the pulpit and in their school—a lot! Often times, we hear the kiddos say,"I wish I could go to Gala!"   

This sparked the idea of Kids' Gala, a fun afternoon during the school day full of music, entertainment and special surprises! It's a big celebration for the entire student body working to reach fundraising goals that support their school. Kids' Gala is on the calendar for Friday, April 26, 2024!

How does it work?

As students of Holy Spirit Catholic School work together to reach different fundraising levels, they unlock additional prizes that are included in Kids' Gala. Last year prizes included an extra OOU day, a special visit from KC Wolf, treats from The Golden Scoop, confetti cannons, raffles and an incredible "Mascoted" Singer competition featuring Holy Spirit Teachers and Staff! It was ahhhhmazing!
