About Atlanta 5K 2019
Now in our fifth year, we’re once again coming together for a morning of fun and support as we celebrate GiGi’s mission to change the way the world views Down syndrome. Join us by forming a team to participate in the GiGi’s 5K Fun Run or the 1 Mile Inspirational Walk, or come and cheer on our kids in their Dash for Down Syndrome. There will be games and activities available for children at the event, and our Emory PT students will be leading fun and active stations from 9-12 p.m.
With the help of our community, GiGi’s Playhouse is able to empower families and individuals with Down syndrome through free therapeutic programming, resources, and support. Whether you’re here to form a team or make a donation, your generosity will make a big difference for our Atlanta community!

GiGi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center’s mission is to change the way the world views Down syndrome through national campaigns, educational programs, and by empowering individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community. We offer free therapeutic and educational programming to individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

Through free programs and through our Generation G Campaign for global acceptance, we EMPOWER families by maximizing opportunities for daily achievement and lasting acceptance. To ensure lasting acceptance, we must show the world what individuals with Down syndrome are truly capable of achieving as students, co-workers, volunteers, friends, and valued members of their communities. Our program outcomes help advance this vital social impact goal.
