Detroit Over The Edge 2019

My job is simple: I tell the stories of people in mid-Michigan. And throughout my career, I’ve been blessed to tell the stories of some amazing, brave, resilient kids and adults with special needs. They have touched my life in ways I can’t explain and have brought me pure joy by simply being themselves. I always wondered how I can repay them for all they’ve instilled in me and I finally found my answer. I am going to raise $1,000 for a cause I’m passionate about - Gigi’s Playhouse Detroit - and rapel down 26 stories this May. Why you ask? Because every day we ask those with Down syndrome and other disabilities to be brave by trying something mentally or physically hard. We ask them to go out of their comfort zones and push their limits. It’s time we do the same! If you would be so kind to donate, all of the funds go to Gigi’s Playhouse to provide programming to hundreds of individuals with Down syndrome in the Greater Detroit Area. Here’s to facing challenges head-on & loving one another all the same ❤️
