About Detroit Over The Edge 2019
Experience the rush of repelling down a sheer cliff in one of the most vibrant urban settings in the nation. Tower over the city of Detroit before stepping off the ledge and experiencing a once in a lifetime rush as you climb down 28 stories all while raising money for an amazing cause.
GiGi's Playhouse Detroit has recently opened their doors, marking the 41st Down Syndrome achievement center to do so. This facility relies upon donations and fundraisers like this to provide services to individuals and families with loved ones with Down syndrome.
We are challenging all of Metro-Detroit to take the leap off of this historic building in support of GiGi's Playhouse Detroit.
This is the way it works: Once you sign up to go "Over the Edge," you see people to sponsor your adventure. It can be friends, family, co-workers, etc. Post it on your social media channels. Plenty of resources are available to you under the "Get Involved" section of this site.

GiGi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center’s mission is to change the way the world views Down syndrome through national campaigns, educational programs, and by empowering individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community. We offer free therapeutic and educational programming to individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

Through free programs and through our Generation G Campaign for global acceptance, we EMPOWER families by maximizing opportunities for daily achievement and lasting acceptance. To ensure lasting acceptance, we must show the world what individuals with Down syndrome are truly capable of achieving as students, co-workers, volunteers, friends, and valued members of their communities. Our program outcomes help advance this vital social impact goal.
